A solar system nobody else had solved
The clearest account of an RCM job comes from the customer rather than from us. Paul Donovan describes a solar hot water fault where the solution was, in his words, far from obvious, and required ruling out several potential problems before the system was restored to full working order.
That is a recognisable shape for solar faults. The system keeps producing hot water because the booster quietly takes over, so the actual failure, usually a pump or a controller, is invisible until someone works through the possibilities in order. It is also why solar diagnostics take longer than most hot water calls and why guessing at parts is an expensive way to approach them.
